Many events including the World Triathlon Championship, the Ottawa Marathon, the Toronto Marathon, the Canada Running Series use this technology. The ChampionChip is worn on the shoe laces or on the ankle with a Velcro strap for Triathlon events. Mats are placed and different locations on the course and the start finish line.

MyLaps ProChip System

Sportstats acquired the Pro Chip system in 2007. This technology previously called AMB Pro Chip has been used in the Olympics, the Tour the France, ITU events. This is the number 1 choice for high speed and high precision events like in-line skating and cycling. There are no mats, a simple wire is placed on the ground at each timing location. This technology is ideal for remote events as it can easily be shipped around the world.
