In 2008 AMB IT and ChampionChip became one and merged to MyLaps Sports Timing. MyLaps is the leader in Sports Timing Technology offering a multitude of solutions for all type of Events.
MyLaps ChampionChip System
ChampionChip was the first technology used by Sportstats and by many events world wide, this technology changed the world of running events. The ChampionChip is worn on the shoe laces for running events or on the ankle with a Velcro strap for Triathlon events. Mats are placed and different locations on the course and the start finish line.
MyLaps ProChip System
Sportstats acquired the Pro Chip system in 2007. This technology previously called AMB Pro Chip has been used in the Olympics, the Tour the France, ITU events. This is the number 1 choice for high speed and high precision events like in-line skating and cycling. There are no mats, a simple wire is placed on the ground at each timing location. This technology is ideal for remote events as it can easily be shipped around the world.
MyLaps BibTag Technology
In 2013, BibTag was the technology most used by Sportstats. The Bibtag system is a simple transponder integrated into the race number. There is no chip distribution or collection required saving a lot of volunteers and the hassle of chip return. Many events including the Ottawa Race Weekend, the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, the Vancouver Sun Run Vancouver, the Marathon Oasis Rock 'n' Roll de Montréal as well as the Army Run use the BibTag technology.
The Sportstats application enables each user to instantly review results from any events on the Sportstats server since 1997. You can quickly search results by event name or athlete name as well as bib number within the event. The event results calendar enables you to quickly display the top 10 Men/Women from the event and their times.
